bagel radio's best music of 2006

On last Friday's 480 Minutes (aka Bagel Radio's Friday Live Show), Ted counted down his top 10 albums & top 50 songs of 2006! I love seeing other people's lists, and especially Ted's considering he's responsible for a large portion of my new music finds.

I'm not sure if I'll get around to actually listing out my favs for the year, but I definitely have some swirling around in my head. Maybe I'll do that on the plane back to Colorado on Friday? :) Either way, Ted's are reaally close to mine (specifically that my #1 song of the year is hands down "Hospitalbeds" by Cold War Kids - that song is SO GOOD!!), so check em out!

In the same vein, my rock star show ho sistaaa Ali Mggeeeee recently put together a list of all the shows she's been to this year. And, as you can probably guess, I've been standing right next to her for a good 95% of em. awww yaaa!

This year has been AWESOME in so many ways, particularly in the area of stellar music & kick ass friends. *sigh* I'm a happy, happy girl.

holiday festivities

A Picture Share!
all dolled up

Lastnight Ev, Sara, Chris & Mai put on a spectacular holiday party! They called it a Holiday 'Tea Party' because they had it on (cited from the invite) "December 16th to celebrate not only the traditional end-of-year holidays but also (looks at Wikipedia), um ok, hey, the 233rd anniversary of the Boston Tea Party. We can each commemorate the Tea Party's act privately. Our mouths can be like the harbor. Our liquor can be like the tea. Our hands can be like, like, like -hm- aggrieved patriots engaged in non-violent protest committing treasonous acts but who are also totally into giving gifts to loved ones."

haha! Awesome.

Evan & Sara held it at their new place. A 'penthouse' downtown, that is breathtaking and something out of a movie where you are envying the character's amazing, impeccably designed city apartment the whole time. Oh & we didn't get to see it because it's not installed yet - but it was *very* fun to learn yesterday that (just as I expected) Ev & Sara were the ones to purchase Courtney's amazing cloud bed! I hope I get to see it all set up in it's new home. I love (and Courtney does to) that it stayed within the 'family'. Now she can go visit her creation instead of having to say goodbye forever. Very cool.

I got to see a ton of great friends and honestly I wish it could have gone on longer. It was fabulous.
Thank you E, S, C & M! xo
