home for the holidays
Well, after a 17 hour travel day I finally made it up to Steamboat on Friday night around 1:30am. oy.It's just as you would think it would be: snowy & cold! Thankfully, unlike SF, they have insulation & heat here in the mountains. Truly my only saving grace here in the midst of it all. Well that & the comforts of my Momma's cozy home with the tree, decorations & cookies everywhere. danger danger! :p
The first morning here, Haylie & I got up early & headed over to see off some close family friends before they flew out. Joe & Haylie are good friends & it was great we got to have a few hours of overlap to give some holiday hugs, because otherwise I hardly ever see them (they live in Florida).Unfortunately I left my camera battery charger at home, and it's dead now after these photos, but luckily I can use Haylie's for the remaining time I'm home.
I can hardly believe Christmas is tomorrow! Seems like it just got here so fast this year. Or maybe it's like that every year? Regardless, I'm glad to be home for a few days, relaxing and spending time with my Mom & sis.
I hope you're having a wonderful holiday wherever you are! xo
