My 4th was pretty mellow.
Thursday I was off and worked on a little freelance at home, took a hike up Bernal w/ Matt - and then headed to Best buy for printer supplies. I worked till about midnight, and then realized I hadn't eaten dinner, so I heated up some left over salmon and zoned out to part of Half Baked playing on Comedy Central. The highlights being Jon Stewart's character - very funny.

Friday I picked up Jee, met up w/ Jane & we all hit Jason's BBQ. Very fun, small crowd of folks. And amazing 80 degree weather for most of the day - dreamY!! The food was great - unfortunately Ev caught me gorging (won't even link to that incriminating photo of myself) on my delicious gourmet turkey burger. I enjoyed meeting Mary - who sketches and paints people she knows. I need to start sketching and drawing people more - no doubt I would improve over time.

Jee & I left Jason's & took a nice walk to Dolores to "get some fresh air" (this is what I kept saying even though we'd been sitting in Jason's backyard in the wide open air all day, hmm, maybe I needed space more than air?) The night ended in way too much driving, traffic and alas to home for both of us to eat and chill since we are surprisingly not 22 anymore and don't desire to go out & get wasted on the 4th of July. The next night however...... hahaa

Michelle & I cruised down to Santa Cruz yesterday. Road Trip!! We arrived at my brother's, changed into beach-wear & headed down to see the first of 2 galleries him & Kyle have set up in Santa Cruz/Capitola. They are awesome! I'm so proud of him!

We finally got to the beach, slathered on sunscreen & soaked up the rays for a couple hours until a few other friends arrived. Sushi, sake, margaritas and a couple beers later found us all having a good ol' fashioned house party at Max's... complete with jam sessions and all. I think I wanna learn how to play the guitar now!

This morning came all to early for me, as some house alarm high pitched beep kept waking me up what seemed like every 20 minutes. Needless to say after breakfast & the drive back - I came home only to lay on the couch napping and watching bad movies for the next several hours. :) aaah... Sundays.

If I were any more motivated today, this post would have photos of the above accompanying it. Maybe tomorrow. Night! ...photos posted now.
