Mr. Rogers - This was way more moving than I expected it to be... watch it to the very end if you can. "In 1969 President Nixon wanted to severely cut a proposed endowment of $20 million for public broadcasting because of spending on the Vietnam War. In this incredible clip Mr. Rogers defends the endowment to the Senate and proves why he will rock the neighborhood forever." ~ Steve, thesneeze.com.
Last Sunday Hez had a BBQ to celebrate her graduating - yay! She has a rad house/deck/backyard for a BBQ, but unfortunately it was pretty rainy. Didn't stop us from having a good time though! The party was goin on... I mean how could it not with a little Heart, Journey & Beyonce action? Oh yaaaa baby!
Look how cute Hez is with her Mom & Dad!
It was so fun to meet Hez's parents. They're both rockstars & you can see how Hez turned out to be such a hotty! They must be proud! I am, as the girl has worked hard to finish her degree and it must feel so good to have it done! yay Hez!
A few of us were pretty tired from my BBQ the day before (actually I think I was still drunk), but even despite that we had a great time! It helps that you've got a room full of people who aren't afraid to belt out a song or two. Oh yaaa, that's right... it's aaall on video baby!
Looking down over the canyon. Under all those trees is the path!
Yesterday Holly & I went for a hike through Glen Park Canyon. It was my 2nd time and it was fun to have Holly along to explore more of the trails. We got a pretty good workout and she too was in awe of how breathtakingly green and lush this spot is smack dab in the middle of our city. LOVE IT!
We didn't take any photos, but it reminded me I had uploaded some videos last week I never posted links to. Here they are:
I'm really stoked to see An Inconvenient Truth. Not sure if you know, but Al Gore is doing some great work waking up the government and the general public (who hopefully will then in turn urge our goverment to wake up!).
It's such a great title, because it's SO true. It's inconvenient that I can't (or really shouldn't) leave the fridge door open while I leasurely make lunch. I mean, really, it'd be so much more convenient if I could just leave it open while I poured the dressing on my salad & THEN put it back in the fridge all easy-like, right? It's inconvenient that I can't take hot showers for as long as I want to. Or that I have to take that extra minute to turn off the lights before I leave my house. Yup, us Americans are so inconvenienced by having to think about our precious Earth's resources. So inconvenienced in fact that it's dying slowly. I can't wait to see this movie. And more importantly I can't wait for all the other millions of people, politicians, housewifes and kids to see it. The next decade is going to be a serious wake up call on many levels. This is only the beginning. Go see it!
In the Bay Area it opens @ the Embarcadero on June 2nd. I can't go that Friday night, but will definitely go that weekend. Anyone wanna join me?! :)
Another great environmental wake up call movie I just spotted on the trailers page: Who Killed the Electric Car?
I'm not the perfect environmentalist by any means, but I am pretty proud that I drive a car that runs on biodiesel, and I compost and recycle religiously. I've been really stoked on my composting lately. I'm grateful I live in a city where I can! If your area offers the pickup, but you haven't known just how to go about it... let me give you the biggest tip of all: Biodegradable Compost Bags! I had some I'd bought at Real Foods years ago, but I noticed now they're even selling them at Walgreens. Just make yourself a little mini trashcan under your sink (mine's currently an old brita pitcher) & line it with one of those. You'll be amazed at how fast it fills up. Granted I cook breakfast, lunch & dinner at home - and eat a ton of salads & fresh veggies... but still. Egg shells, coffee grinds, soiled paper towels, etc. All compostable!
I finished watching the last season of Six Feet Under last weekend and LOVED it! I'm sad to know it's over forever. But next up I'm hoping to fall in love with Deadwood, Carnival or Battlestar Galactica. (thanks to my awesome friend Mario!)
I watched Match Point and hated it. I had heard some people loved it & others didn't... and I was definitely the latter. I thought it was such an unoriginal plot line, and I actually fast forwarded through a lot of the end feeling like it was just simply wasting my time.
Oh! I also watched the season finale's for my favorite shows: LOST, Grey's Anatomy, E.R., Will & Grace, and Love Monkey (I think that was the last one, right?) and *loved* them all! Pretty much all of them delivered a serious OMG! I enjoyed chatting w/ Misty about LOST lastnight. Misty summed it up well by saying it answered so many questions, but completely opened up soo many new ones! WOW. Hmm, maybe I'll start getting around to my Netflix's after all, considering it's just reruns all summer.
I want to see some movies at the theatre as well... in addition to the IMAX ones I posted about, I'm really looking forward to seeing:
I probably won't make it to even 1/2 of those in the theatres, not to mention there's probably a ton more good'ns coming out that I don't even know about because I don't watch TV or go enough to see previews... but I love the idea of seeing movies. To me it's the ultimate way to relax and do nothing. Which I don't get to do very often at all.
OOH! While looking at the Apple Trailers site I just spotted a few more:
Peaceful Warrior - holy shit, they're making a movie of the book! awesome! I read that YEARS ago (high school I think!) and loved it. Later, I got to meet Dan Millman when I was doing a lot of work in that area as an Events Coordinator. My former life. :) During that time (my early 20's) I also did a lot of work with Shakti Gawain. Anyway - very cool... I'll see this movie for sure. If you haven't read the book yet, buy it now and read it before you go see the movie.
Last weekend* I had a small BBQ in honor of my fuzzy pants turning 5. Actually, I threw a KazooBQ! No kitties were grilled, but in "all fish, all day" spirit we grilled shrimp & salmon! SO YUMM!
"What are all these people doing in my house, Mom? What kind of birthday present is this!?"
Kazoo gets a little feisty when there's a bunch of people in HIS house, but all in all it worked out & no limbs were lost to the fierce tiger boy. :p Needless to say, the next day was the best day ever for him:
"aaah, much better... purrrrr"
So anyway, *many* drinks were had at the KazooBQ, and it turned out to be a SUPER rockin party. I was super stoked the sun came out, too! yay!
The party started at 1pm, and around 9 (after creatively finishing off every last drop of alcohol in my house), Ali, John, Kristin & I headed to the Argus where we met back up with Mario and closed it down! We're party animals!!
Like any good Willo party, the night ended with everyone singing along to Whitesnake's "Here I Go Again", which I have some hilarious/embarrassing drunken videos of, linked to off the KazooBQ photo album. And then, as the night wore on, there were many confessions of love and delicious debauchery. aww yaaa! haha! I cannot wait for my birthday party! woohoo!
Thanks for all of you who came out & made it SUCH a fun party! My friends rule!! xoxo
*I can't believe I didn't blog about this sooner - I've just been working my arse off this week! More on that to come.
Erik Benson, my roomie at SXSW, has this funny Morale-o-Meter on his site. I had seen it, and we'd talked about it at SXSW - but it wasn't until Ali & I were chatting about it last week (she's using it), that I thought maybe I should check it out. So just as a little fun test, sorta to track my moods more than anything, I thought I'd go for it. I've got about 6 days under my belt:
Note: this image is obviously continually updating, since I'm way past 6 days now. Click the image to read the exciting daily details. As an aside, pretty funny to see that spike in alcohol from when I had the KazooBQ. In fact, I'm sure I exceeded 10 drinks in that 13 hour stretch. ha!
I just noticed KTVU has a video posted, and some photos (but mine are better :). Speaking of, my photo of the winner, Craig Billmeier, aka "Hot Lixx Hulahan" will be published in the Alameda Sun later this week! yay! I'll try to link to the story when it's up. It's been published! Check it out!
It's probably 80° out today - gorgeous!! So instead of getting up & going to the gym like I normally do, I decided to take an urban hike! Usually I go right up behind my house, on Bernal Hill, but I've been wanting to explore some other areas, so I ventured out to Glen Park Canyon, which is just one neighborhood over from me.
Glen Park Canyon Trailhead
Beautiful sunshine, birds chirping and a slight breeze. You'd never know you were in the middle of a huge city!
Secluded little path, like a fort of trees & leaves!
tree fuzz
The hike was fabulous!! As soon as I got out of my car I could smell the beautiful green trees and could hear all the birds chirping. I thought I was going to listen to my iPod, but I quickly realized I didn't even want to. It was so nice hearing the birds, and occasionally along the path you could hear the little creek that runs alongside it. The hike itself is fairly flat most of the way, negotiating around trees and such on the path. But then there's a fairly steep stairway up to a lookout. All in all you can definitely get your heart rate up... and there's so many different little paths to explore! I can't wait to go back and see more, there was a lot of paths I didn't take and ended up just doing a really nice loop for about 45 minutes.
It's so phenomenal we have these slices of nature smack dab in the middle of our city. Next up I wanna hit Mount Davidson (inspired by Buzz's recent photo of his hike there) & Stern Grove - which I don't think is listed on that site, but I was chatting w/ the guy filling me up with Biodiesel today and he said it was a good'n, so I'm game!
Friday night I drove down to Santa Cruz to hang out w/ my brother Max & his awesome gf Samara. They recently moved into a new place (renting), but it's 3x as big as their last place and it's incrediblel!! I kept saying, "It's like a real house!" haha. It sits on a street with a bunch of really beautiful houses & has a huge deck out back too that you can even see the ocean from on clear days! It's a one bedroom but there's an additional little sun room off the living room (which is huge) & the best part is the kitchen was remodeled recently and has all new stainless steel appliances. I'm so jealous - it's really gorgeous! Oh, and Max also has his Om Gallery office downstairs too in this big room off the garage. *sigh* how I wish I had an extra office space! Seriously, it's so amazing to visit places that don't have every little square inch carefully negotiated like mine is! I'm really happy for them there.
They had their friends Ryan & Bon in town, so I went down too & we made it a party! Christopher & Courtney came over, too, and after a few pre-drinkies we went to dinner down the street at this yummy Italian restaurant. I don't have any photos of the night beyond that, but we had a blast trying to play Balderdash after many, many drinks. :p I always have such a good time with my brother and his friends are great. Good times!
Max & his guitar in the morning (notice the slippers - hehe)
self potrait in the sugar dish
The next morning Max made us a yummy breakfast before I headed back up to the city. He's such a good guy. I need to go visit them more often!
Lastnight Ali & I went to Regina Spektor @ the Independent (photos are posted!). My downstairs neighbor, Annie, had tipped me off to her and after reading up on her, I knew I wanted to check her out. Her voice has been compared to Fiona Apple, and although it is strikingly similar, she really does have a sound & style all her own. She has incredible command and range of her voice and every single song is really fun and/or beautiful. I loved it!
On the way out we ran into Noah (looking stylish as always), and then luckily spotted Lucia, too! I knew she was there & I never see that girl anymore, so I was super glad to have at least gotten a hug! :)
After the show we headed to Bar Fly to meet Ryan for "Bon Voyage drinkies". He lives close by & we knew he'd be down for a last minute call, and I was glad he came out & met us - we love our buddy Ryan! Today he left for a big 2.5 week work trip abroad: Amsterdam, Edinburgh & London! I'm so jealous! Can't wait to hear about all your adventures, buddy!
Last Tuesday Ted & I went to the Send for Help/Nine Black Alps show at du Nord. Nine Black Alps have a few fantastic songs (that DJ Ted turned me onto!), but on the whole live they sounded alarmingly JUST like Nirvana (Bleach era). It was good, but pretty wild. There was this cracked out blonde girl there and Ted was like, "Oh look, it's Courtney Love coming for her money!" hahaa. The crowd was weird, too. It had obviously gotten some press from a radio station - like Live105 or 97.3... I never listen to the radio anymore - because the crowd was kinda mainstream-ish or something. People that we don't often see in "our club". :p Yes, I'm a snob.
Send for Help opened and they were great! I had seen them once before, but apparently the time I'd seen them they'd just lost a bassist or something, so it wasn't their strongest night. Last week their set was really great to me. Nice guys, too! Check em out!
Wednesday night I went to BAM & then my friend's Kristin & Dave had me over for a late dinner at their new home! They're homeowners! I'm jealous!! Kristin's learnt so much through the process that she was awesome to talk to about it all. Self-employment taxes are insane & I've really got to invest in something. I want to buy so bad and as much as I've been afraid of the prices around here (namely what my mortgage would cost me - gulp), I really just need to talk to a broker and get the ball rolling. I've known Kristin for over 10 years now, which is so cool. We originally met back in Steamboat when she was dating a close friend of mine from High School. Then probably about 3 years ago I ran into her at Bimbo's and we've been in touch ever since. Congrats to her & Dave for getting engaged, too!
A huge crew of us knew we couldn't miss this show - and luckily most of us bought advance tickets, because it completely sold out! We were way in back for Round 1, but then got to move up front for the final round. SO MUCH FUN!!
Use the controls above to watch these videos right here on my site (so cool!) or click here to watch them on YouTube.
Some of my favorite photos from the evening:
AWESOME! This guy embodies air guitar IMO. He cracked me up!
"Noodle Arms" hot chic contestant who made it to the final round! awww yaa!
"Flying V" had a wig on in the 1st round, and took it off here in the 2nd. However his awesome rock facial expressions made up for it! We thought he was going to win!
Our beloved & charming M.C. - not to mention a mad talented air guitarist!
The winner! Hot Licks Houlihan!
All the photos from this event are posted here: SF Air Guitar Championships & all the videos can be seen above, or on YouTube here. ROCK!
hahhaaa! This is my "OMG we're having the best time evaaaaaarrrr!!!!" look. Could I open my mouth any wider? hahhaa. And then with Ryan peeking in up there, gettin in on the action.... HYSTERICAL!
There are so many hilarious photos - Ali uploaded more, and they're now here in one big set of her friend Zach's visit. There *must* have been people a the Hemlock absolutely pissed we were taking so many photos. haha! Did we care? NO! :p One of alcohol's delightful side effects: You don't give a shit about what other people think & instead you just go about having the time of your life! wahooo!! haha.
So ya, I realize this is the 3rd post about it, but these photos are just too funny... and it was a really fun night!
- I got my Powerbook back today! But I gotta say, Mario's Mac Mini has been treating me pretty sweet this last week. It's been luxurious to be on a machine that can keep up with me and not CHUG like my PB was there for the last month or so. Anyway, I'm backing up the mini tonite & will load it onto my PB tomorrow morning. Here's hoping the new hard drive they put in will actually last me more than 2 months this time!
- I have been knee deep in this "all CSS layout" project. Today I really stuck by my guns & refused to ask for help & instead made myself wade through & figure it out (which took me hours!). But as weird as it sounds, I am totally energized by it! I'm feeling pretty tough right now after figuring out a few things today that for awhile there I really thought I'd never figure out on my own. yay for me! haha.
Saturday night was so fun! We went to Jessica's house party, and then to Bigfoot for a drink - because 3/4 of us had never been and as soon as I heard about the lighting the bar on fire to Def Leppard, we had to go! - before finishing off the night with a bang at the Hemlock.
I was stoked because not only were my awesome friends Ali & Ryan with me, but I got to meet and hang out w/ Ali's friend Zach who is visiting (and is super fun & nice). And THEN the whole Cameron, Megan, Day & Mario crew showed up and THEN Misty surprised us & showed up too! YAY!! SO FUN!!
*sigh* I love my friends.
The good news is even though I was pretty tipsy by the time I left, I only had a little bit of a headache this morning. phew! :) And with a little coffee, some advil & breakfast, I was feeling 100%. Yay! My efforts to take it easy there at the end & call it a night so that I was "functional" today worked, because I actually got a TON of done! I'm making major progress on this CSS layout project and am feeling really excited about it. I even read more of Zeldman's Designing with Web Standards at the gym and had a kick ass workout! woohooo!
Tonite I went over to Matt's for a yummy dinner & a few of us watched Six Feet Under, Season 5, Disc 3! SO GOOD! I'm going to be sad when this season is over... cuz it's the last one! Anyway, overall it was such a great productive, super fun weekend. Hope yours was, too!
Oh & p.s. there's a few more crazy photos from the Hemlock/Misty's camera posted here.
Lastnight I went up to Marin to visit my good friend Elana & her kiddos, Marissa & Zach. We met in the park across the street from their house & lil' Marissa was sweet enough to model the To Hell With Straight Hair little girl's tees with all her fabulous curls! She was an absolute natural - what a button!!
Check out a few of her in each color that I just posted on Flickr. The lighting was tough, since the sun was setting, but I still think we got some absolutely adorable shots. :) yay! Thanks Mari!
Afterwards we ordered chinese & had dinner @ their house. Then, once the kids were in bed, Elana & I got to enjoy a few glasses of wine & catch up. I left around 11:30 & was in bed by 12:30 or so. A very nice Friday night indeed.
Do any of you watch the Lynch Land Podcasts? I subscribed one lonely night & now every once & awhile my iTunes will start playing them. They're nice & WEIRD. :) Mostly because Liam Lynch is a creative madman, and well, that's just RAD. So anyway, this post is to tell you about the latest one, Lynchland Episode #7 (iTunes link), because at the beginning there's a lot of Dave Grohl kicking ass on the drums. (JohnnyP, you'll dig it)
I also have been watching the Jack Black Nacho Libre Confessional, which is a tad hit or miss in terms of laugh out loud funny... but I love that man and it's entertaining. :)
Some other Podcasts I randomly subscribe to (all iTunes links, FYI):
Have any of you done any sites using the CMS Drupal? If so, let me know... I'd love to have someone to ask a few questions and/or hire for a project I'm working on now. Thanks!
If you're like me, you want to get your momma something unique. No better place to do it than at the Mother's Day Boutique & Trunk Show this Saturday, May 6th, @ Bottom of the Hill! Another great opportunity to drink while you shop. ha! But seriously, great DJ's and super great crafty merch. Way worth checking out if you live in SF. Oh, and a lot of the merchants are a part of the SFCraftMafia, too!
Another fun one I just discovered is the CorrieWeb Store! This awesome lady & I became "internet friends" probably over 6 years ago, but at the time she wasn't doing many sales overseas (she lives in Holland). But she just emailed me the other day with her new links, and her online store is chock full of super cute stuff for Mother's Day! Her long legged animals characters, like the mommy/baby cows, are soo cute... and you know I love the kitties! The "itty bitty knitty kitty" is one I think all my knitting friends would like... Lucia? I think my little sis might like some of the horsie stuff, too. Haylie take a look! And lastly, you have to see these cute bunnies in the space carrot - hehe! Corrie's style is adorable and I'm so inspired by how many different designs she keeps crankin out. Awesome, woman! (p.s. how cute is it that she lives in a town called Sneek? Gemeente Sneek! I need to go visit just so I can hear them say this.)
So, what are you getting your Momma for Mother's day?
I've been having some major problems with my powerbook here lately. What has seemed to be more core issues, that are slowing down the OS X more than anything, making things freeze up for no reason, (insert more annoying issues that effect productivity). So, I've worked extensively over the last few weeks font pruning, trashing preferences, clearing out misc. stuff from my startup menu, running disk repairs, macjanitor, restarting every day, sometimes 2x/day, etc... all to no avail.
So lastnight I backed up & just now before restarting, I thought I'd run a Disk Utility Repair, and check out what it's telling me:
lovely
For those of you who've been reading, even if only for only a mere couple months, you may recall I *just* had the hard drive replaced in February! arg!
Looks like I'll be needing to send this puppy away again. I *so* need a backup powerbook for when this happens! Who woulda thunk it'd happen again only 3 MONTHS later? JEESHK!
:::::
UPDATE: Apple is sending a box out to come & get it. And my awesome friend Mario is letting me borrow a Mac Mini for the time being. However, I do think I'll take his advice & swing by the Apple store today & see if they won't just hand me a new MacBook Pro. Hell, I'd even take the latest Powerbook they have laying around! Anything to get rid of this lemon! I've had way too many problems in the short 2 years with this damn thing. arg!
Anyway... enough ranting. I'm so behind on work (I'm on my PC now, while I update the software & install my backup on the mac mini), that this time suck is the last thing I need. *sigh*
When I launched To Hell With Straight Hair last week, my client had told me that in her browser, Internet Explorer (aka WORST BROWSER EVER), there was some funky box showing up around the Flash animation on the homepage, asking her to activate it or something. My being on a mac (yay) and being too lazy to power up my PC, I wasn't sure what she was talking about, but it didn't sound good and we agreed to add finding a fix for it to the to-do list.
Thankfully, in a recent Flash Goddess newsletter, they passed on a timely link to Adobe's article on ActiveX in i.e. and their javascript workaround to this annoying issue. Perfect! It was just what I needed and now it works on her browser w/ no problems. yay! Now I have to think about all the other sites I have done and/or maintain that also need this little fix implemented. grrr... die Internet Explorer, die!
Let me segue into reminding you all, particularly you PC users, that this would be a GREAT time to switch to Firefox!
I also posted a rant on this last year, if you wanna read more.
::::::::
Afraid of getting your laptop stolen? Check out this cool iAlertU alarm system coming out!
So apparently Radiohead is going to be playing 2 shows at the Greek Theatre this summer! SWEET! It was originally posted as an unconfirmed date on the greenplastic site, and so I'd asked a connection about it and she'd said they might be for sale through ConcertTickets.org. So, I used the handy dandy change detection tool to see when this page was updated & it just was: Anyone wanna buy a Radiohead ticket for $480? JEESHK! That will go down, obviously, but it's comical to see that number there. Can I get an AS IF ?!
All that said, can you all pretty please be my eyes & ears on any advance tickets? It says tickets go on sale May 14, but they're going to sell out in mere seconds I'm sure. But I know at least 5 people who will want one, so let me know what you hear peeps!
12:45pm: Celebration - I've been way into their CD and so I was so stoked my housemates were down with showing up for their early set. I loved them live, the last song especially! The lead singer chic has great stage presence and although their songs seemed a tad long for our Coachella-first-show-A.D.D., I still enjoyed every single bit of it and was really stoked we caught their set. They're opening for TV on the Radio here in SF this week if you're going! Don't miss em!
1:30pm: The Like - caught the tail end of their set & they sounded great! We agreed they seemed to have tightened up since their show @ du Nord. I like The Like.
1:45: Painfully sat through the New Amsterdams waiting for the Walkmen to come on. However, sitting on the lawn in the beautiful Palm Springs desert sun made it all OK. :)
2:30: The Walkmen! Misty, Ali & I were all very excited to see 'our boyfriend' Hamilton play. Unfortunately the jackass thinks he's so cool he can chew gum & sing at the same time. Hi, you're on a HUMONGOUS SCREEN doood. Spit out the fucking gum. Misty was pissed for different reasons, but of course they have to do with how he's chosen to wear the hair on his body. haha. With Misty, it's either your hair or your shoes. She should publish a rule book.
3:00: Left the Walkmen early to check out Lady Sovereign. Only saw maybe 2 songs before I decided it was high time I get a ID (aka beer garden/drinking) wristband!
3:-3:25: Listened to Nine Black Alps from Beer Garden #3. I'm excited to see their show here in SF!
3:50: Wolfmother - AWESOME!!!! One of the most kick ass shows off the weekend. It was really excellent!! They're like (as Ted so accurately describes) Led Zepplin meets Black Sabbath. And the lead singer has a fro... which, as some of you know, I totally have Fro Envy. So ya, their show was truly EPIC!
I think I got some food at this point.
5:30 or so: Deerhoof! The lead singer is sooo little! I've meant to catch a show of theirs a number of times, so it was super fun to finally see them live. They were good.
6:15: Caught the first few songs of TV on the Radio. For some reason I can't get into them live. I saw them first at SXSW 2004, but couldn't get into them then, and still can't seem to get into them live now apparently, but I like them on CD!
6:35: Imogen Heap! She sounded beautiful and I got some great shots of her I'm excited about, for as far away as we were.
7:35: Ladytron for a few songs, heard one of my favs which was cool
8:30: Eagles of Death Metal! SO fun!
9:30: Depeche Mode (from beer garden #1) - really cool to see them! They played some classics, so I was stoked!
11:15: The Rakes - lead singer has got some fierce dance moves. Daft Punk was goin on at the same time & I got to hear a good song from them, but by that point we were all ready to go, so we did! Overall a great first day!
Sunday ~
1:15: Youth Group
2:15: Mates of State
3:15: Listened to Ted Leo from Beer Garden 2, let the drinking begin! :)
4:15: Metric! I love them!!!
4:45: Minus the Bear - I hadn't really listened to them before this, but they were GREAT live! I can't wait to get some of their stuff.
5:30: Wolf Parade - this show was probably the best show of the weekend for me, besides Wolfmother. I absolutely LOVE Wolf Parade!!! The last song had me dancing and just absolutely high on life. KICK ASS!!!
6:00: Listened to Bloc Party from Beer Garden 2.... Ali, Glen & I were joined by Xis, Mario, Harry, Aubrey, Jason and Sumir. Good times!
7:30: Still in the beer garden... hahaa.... realizing a glass of white wine is totally the best bang for your buck. ;) Listening to a bit of the Yeah Yeah Yeah's and Digable Planets on the other side.
8:15: Went & had dinner w/ Mario
8:30: Mario talks me into going straight back to Beer Garden 2. hahaha! Fortuitously we ran into the whole Cameron crew there - yay!! Cam & I had a reunion like nobody has ever seen before, rolling on the ground like two mad woman. haha! I love her!!!!
9:00: I had told everyone to meet at Beer Garden 3 at 9 (you can see where this night is going, huh? hahhaa Most of the bands at this point were background music, but as you can imagine, we had a BLAST! :) Anyway, getting over there was INSANE!!! Come nightfall at Coachella, especially Sunday, there are so many people - toooo many people!* Our trying to get from one side of the field to the other was like going against a stampede of people... totally scary, really! But even scarier was getting into Beer Garden 3, it was seriously almost a total stampede... humans can gets so nuts so fast. CHAOS! *Coachella organizers you have officially oversold this event waaay too much!! They ran out of water, booze and the port-a-potties were completely overflowing... DISGUSTING! grrr!
Ali & Glen find us there, and shortly after, Jenna & her cutie new boyfriend Cary. yay!! The gangs all here!! SO FUN!!!!
