As you all know, I heart
Tapes 'n Tapes! I can't wait for their
show on March 23rd, and can only pray I love them as much live, as I do their album. (no pressure, guys)
Anyway, Dan alerted me to Pitchfork finally posting their review of
The Loon. Finally a review I agree with! :)
In 48 hours I'm going to be on a plane headed for Cozumel! wooohoooo!! Then a short 4 days after I get back I head out for a week in Austin for
SXSW!
Oh yes. Life is good.
Now if I can just somehow calm the workaholic in me to actually let myself take a vacation.
::::
Random tidbits: I had a pretty good lunch date on Sunday. Savor (where I seem to be finding myself a lot lately) was packed, so we strolled down the street and ate a delicious brunch at
Mi Lindo Yucatan. I recommend it!
Afterwards I made a very short
appearance at
Dennis' birthday BBQ (aww, I forgot to take a self portrait w/ you, D!) before coming back home to work. What was wild was when I walked in I saw
this guy & was like "how do I know you!?" and realized he was Sarah's roommate for a short time while I stayed w/ her in
NYC last year! He (Korby?) just flew back into town for Dennis' 30th, as apparently they went to school together. Small world!
::::
Did I mention how stoked I am about my Powerbook being back up & running? SO STOKED. :) Which is why I'm up so late! Ok. bedtime!
Yay!!! I'm *finally* back up on my Powerbook!
For the record...when you're restoring an entire disk w/
Retrospect, the OS versions have to be exactly the same! So what happened was I must have received it back from the doctor w/ the latest & greatest 10.4.5 or something, because loading on my backup didn't work (to the tune of freezing at the very end, having to power down and then not booting up at all again after that - lovely!).
So I completely wiped the drive again & installed Panther (what I had laying around at the time), thinking I could just replace the HD w/ my full backup that has Tiger on it, but nooooo... must be the same down to a 't'. 10.4.4 = 10.4.4. Now I know! Ya, so thats' what I did today: Installed Tiger, did all the updates, etc & wala!! A big thanks to Kristin & Michael, Mario and all the rest of you who had to listen to be ramble on about it!
Now I just need to buy some kind of backup mac...for if I have to send off this puppy again like that. Preferably with FW800 or faster, as this week w/ a FW400 wasn't as fun (only because the backups take 8 hours). Mario said there's rumors about a new mac mini coming out tomorrow? hmmm... we'll see! :)

Rockin show last Friday night. Thanks to
Ted, I've been a fan of
Tim Fite for a couple months now, so I was stoked he was going to be on the Wedding Present bill! He was HYSTERICAL. What a creative, wacky guy. I don't even usually use the word 'wacky', but it describes him well. Goofy, whatever - he was ENTERTAINING as can be and had us cracking up, singing along and smiling from ear to ear! So fun.
It was great to see The Wedding Present live, too. But honestly the best part about it was watching
Ted soooo stoked. He LOVES them - him &
Misty both! - and so he was on Cloud 9. It was too cute. We got a play by play on every song... what the lyrics are about, what album and/or when he heard it first, etc. I love seeing someone so into a band. It's infectious! They were great, better than I expected somehow, so I was happy!
We also went to Supergrass the night before, which was a great show - but I wished I'd been a more long-time fan, like the rest of the audience. Still, they sounded really good, and I have to say: I love the GAMH! It was just good to be at a show again! :)
Read
Ali's post for a waaaay better wrap up on both of these!
Here's my photos:

While my sister was here this last weekend I happened upon this old folder full of illustrations & greeting cards I'd done from about 6 years ago. In there was this post it note I had drawn some faces on, and every once and awhile I would come across it again & continue saving it... because I really liked these two girls I'd sketched out. So I told Haylie, I'm going to draw these up on the computer & post them so they're officially out of that folder! So here they are:

The girl on the right still isn't exactly as she looks on the post it (you'd be amazed at what the teeeniest fraction of a change in pixels will do to an expression on a character!), but I like how she turned out for the most part - so I'm going with it.
I went to Supergrass @ GAMH lastnight & worked on this for a few hours after I got home. *sigh* I love drawing... I could do it for hours! I'm starting to fall in love with Illustrator all over again, too.
Happy Friday, everyone.

I have actually received a few nice emails from myspace boys lately (intriguing guys I might actually meet for a drink), but it never fails there's an email that comes across that makes me roll my eyes.
I'll give you all an insider's tip about impressing me: I like a guy who has some reasonable knowledge of grammar and spelling!
Here's one that came over tonite:
"Hello, how are you doing , my name is Jones, and am 32 from Tx, Houston, am new here in the site,i was going through the profile of all the women on the site and i came across yours,i must tell you that among all the profile of womens i saw here ,yours is the one that caught all my attention most, because you are beautiful ,looking nice, and i saw it in your profile that you will be a caring and also a loving woman,i will like to get to know you well,if you have a yahoo mail id let me know so that i can add you up,because..."
I mean, that's nice & all he's so into my profile... but oy... *rolls eyes*
I also get some a number of emails from guys who have profiles that are practically empty. Like they just signed up to email me? Flattering I guess, but if you have no friends, no photos (or just one) and nothing written up about you, then how am I supposed to figure out if I want to email you back? hahaa. I mean it *might* say they have a life and more to do than fill out profiles on myspace, but then again, with the looks of your the emails that are sent to me, I kinda doubt it!
And why would I just want to "chat" with some guy long distance? That is so 1997.
Another one I got recently was from a guy who seemed cool... an artist... but he types every single email in ALL CAPS. I HATE THAT. You know how some people can be annoying just emailing? hahaha. Not a good sign. Sorry, CAPS GUY, I can't deal.
But the other day I got a REALLY good (in a bad way) email - check this shit out: (uumm, except if you're a child, then don't read this & pollute your young innocent mind with his filthy thoughts!)
"This life, this season, this city .....makes me feel the wonderful existence , I feel so good.
How about we take a car ,listening Led zeppelin very loud, going to tamalpais , we explore there , we do meditation,we smoke or drink,we have a very deep and "fullfill" conversation.
If we feel atraction we kiss each other mouths
we get on fire .
We rent a nice hotel at night, we take a hot shower naked ,we kiss each other mouth ,and we go beyond orgasmmmmhh!!
I'm completly clean and safe,I don't have a judgemental mind,I don't care who you think you are,but I'll love you and your feelings.I have no time to lose .
Hit me back if you are down seXymama!! ; ) "
one word: EEEEGADS!
Is he emailing that off to like 50 girls just seeing if he gets one response? I mean, SERIOUSLY, does he think I'm going to email him back & just be like "oh, cool! you're clean AND safe - I'm IN!"
What an idiot. I'll even give you his profile, but I'll warn you - it might crash your browser, and or make you get mad that people have so much control on myspace that they can turn a webpage into such a horrible horrible place:
ArieloThank goodness there's actually a few redeeming guys in the whole lot of fools.
gah...it is just not my MONTH for computers.
I have been working all day on a logo...and Illustrator's crashed a few times, so I learned early in the day to save often. And just now when I went to save, it crashed again, and guess what? When I try to open the file, it throws some wonky error and the entire layer with my illustrations on it won't show up at all. I've tried opening & importing it into a couple different programs and there's basically 1 little drawing out of about 20 I had on the page. *cries*
I lost a good 4 hours of work. I hate computers.

Haylie & I had such a fun rest of the weekend. I'm super sad she had to go! :( :(
I love my little sister so much. She always surprises me with her amazing patience, overflowing love and sweetness (she
holds my hand all the time and gives me spontaneous hugs all day!! I love that!!!), and her respect for right and wrong. She's such a good kid. She's such a good sister and friend!
Saturday night we decided sushi was in order. Haylie had been craving it and I can personally never say no to sushi! :) I wanted to take her to Godzilla initially, but I looked online and found this new sushi place that caught my eye:
Minako Organic Japanese Restaurant. Right on Mission, between 17th & 18th - so it was closer to us, too! So we showered, and headed out for a yummy dinner.
Luckily we got there before any rush & didn't even have to wait! We ordered hot tea, miso & edamame right away. All 3 were delicious... the miso soup there is apparently all organic (I think everything is) and they make it there! It even had mushrooms in it, which I love, but I learned Haylie doesn't... which meant more for me all weekend! :p

me, haylie & part 1 of our delicious sushi dinner! yummm!
Our dinner was AMAZING. The rolls are HUGE. You have to eat them with your hands. Huge chunks of delicious fresh fish, avocado, cucumber. YUMM. We were impressed! They have ton on their menu, too - I wanted to order everything! Also, apparently if you call about 2 hours in advance, you can request brown rice for your sushi! I'm SO doing that next time! The wait staff was really friendly and patient, even when it got busy. One of the main girls there (daughter of the owners?) was really nice and talked to us for a little bit about how the FedEx their fish from Japan, and how they've become popular all by word of mouth. I shouldn't even be posting this here, as the rule is to keep the good places a secret in this town! :p But honestly I got such a warm fuzzy feeling from the place, and our meal was SO delicious, I can't help but sing about it from the rooftops. Go check it out.
After dinner Haylie & I went to the video store and rented two "classics" that I insist she see: The Breakfast Club and Pump Up the Volume.
Hopefully I didn't pollute her innocent mind too much. haha! Watching these two movies made me realize maybe I was more of a rebel growing up than Haylie is? :p Either way, they're both such awesome movies about finding yourself in High School. Reminding yourself that everyone has issues with their parents at that age, and that if they can just hang on, it will get better! Watching Pump Up the Volume again after all these years was soooo fun!! I used to LOVE Christian Slater, and probably watched that movie 20+ times in HS with my friend Drew. It's the movie that turned me onto the Descendants, The Pixies and more. SO RAD.
Sunday we got up, picked up Ali & headed over to Trevor's in the East Bay! We went for breakfast at this Thai Buddhist Temple that serves every Sunday. You have to buy tokens and then they buy you helpings of curry, soup, mango sticky rice, etc. yummmmm! I was really happy Haylie liked it, and luckily it wasn't toooo cold or rainy, cuz it made for a very unique experience. :)

cutie haylie at the thai temple breakfast
After breakfast we headed over to the Albany Flea Market, where we ended up walking away with 5 belts! 3 for me and 2 for Haylie! All for maybe $16? Awesome! I also got a cheapo car charger for my cell phone that I'm a little geeked about. I needed one.

Our flea market scores! (see more in Ali's photos of the day)

Ana, Trevor, Ali, Haylie & me after grabbing coffee
After that we cruised over to
Albany Bulb, one of the main reasons for our jaunt across the bay. See, it's currently in danger of getting shut down & turned into some corporate place (see the link to the story above). And the bummer about that is, besides the obvious reasons, is that currently people can roam around this big open area, letting their dogs roam and play AND a bunch of artists have created all these amazing pieces there. Paintings, Rock and Wood Sculptures, Junk Art and more. I wanted to go before it got torn down, so I made it a point to have us take the field trip.
Luckily Trevor had been there before, so he was an awesome tour guide!

It was awesome to get out & walk, explore the art, see the views of the city and hang with my friends all day!
Ali, Haylie & I drove back to the city & decided we should finish the great day off with an ice cream cone. :) So we headed to Swensen's, near Ali's place, and indulged.

Sisters Rule!!
UPDATE: Ali posted her photos! And here's
her blog post about the day, too.
::::
Monday we did a few things around here & headed downtown for some power shopping. I got a new jacket I'm pretty excited about & Haylie scored a few jems, too! yay! Us O'Brien girls know how to shop! I have a few more photos on my camera from Monday that I need to download, but there's a ton of new ones from Saturday night & Sunday in the
photo album!

Yesterday I picked up my awesome little sister from the airport! She's here visiting for the weekend & I'm so stoked. It's been a year, which both of us can hardly believe... it's been the longest we've ever been apart, so it's about time we get a weekend to hang out!
Haylie's had a lot go down in the last year. One biggie being that she's now a Freshman in High School. oy! I remember those days, but she seems to be handling it pretty well. :) She's a smart kid: 4.0 GPA - aww yaa, little sis! She's also in Choir, French and Art. Oh & she's started skiing more this year, too, which is cool.
So anyway, picked her up & the first thing we did was go grab lunch. I took her to Savor in Noe Valley, which is one of my favorite restaurants because they have such yummy salads. Well, yummy everything, and on nice days you can sit out back, too. But yesterday was rainy and cold, so we snuggled inside & enjoyed our lunch, and the opportunity to catch up!
After lunch we walked around 24th St. doing a little shopping. We went to Urban Nest, Noe Knit, Ambiance, Gallery of Jewels and Just for Fun, stopping only briefly for a soy latte for me & passion tazo tea for her @ Starbucks. :)

on the go girls in noe valley
Lastnight we met Mateo at
Triptych for dinner and since it just happens to be Matt's birthday today -
Happy Birthday, Matt!! - we got to celebrate that with him and shower him with love, gifts and most importantly: eat a yummy chocolatey birthday dessert! heheee :p

sisters!

me w/ matt & haylie
I was pretty excited to try this new SOMA restaurant, too, and the service was top notch. They had a DJ that played good music and art all over the walls, and the food was really delicious! I highly recommend it and can't wait to go back myself. Apparently there's even an outdoor area that's open for brunch! wahoo!
After Haylie & I got home, we got our jammies on, crawled in bed & watched Uptown Girls on Haylie's Powerbook. Haylie dozed off, but I watched the whole thing. Very cute movie!
Today Haylie & I have been lounging around the house. We woke up & made a yummy scrambled egg breakfast & then settled in to our respective computers to geek out. :p Believe me, my little sister loves this just as much as I do. I got all my photos posted & blogging done that's been way over due, and Haylie even took an afternoon cat nap! aaww yaa, vacation! :)
We had a quick lunch, played with Kazoobie here & there and now we may finally going to start working on a few of the crafty projects we meant to start a tad earlier in the day. Oh & mid-day we wanted a snack & I made us some deviled eggs! It was my first time making them... it was pretty exciting. :)

They were good!
Here's the link to the
Photo Album!
Tonite we don't have too many plans. It's pretty nice just to stay inside where it's all warm & cozy. It's been sooo frigid out the last few days! So we may watch a movie. I'm insisting we rent a few "classics" that Haylie's never seen (which blows me away, since they were at the core of my youth!): Breakfast Club, Heathers, E.T., or Goonies. :)
Click here to read the post about the remainder of the weekend
Last Sunday I hit the We Are Invisible/Black Fiction/BarbaraSteele show at @ Cafe du Nord w/ Sam & Jem. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos of the opening band, We Are Invisible, but if you've been reading long, you'll know I LOVE them!! They were great.
Black Fiction is a new local band I'm digging. Their lead singer totally trimmed his beard & cut his hair off - he looks like a whole new guy! Their set was great. Jem & Sam liked them, too!
Jem couldn't get into Barbara Steele & I could relate to her disdain. The music seemed cool, like maybe it's great on CD or if we knew the songs already - but the lead singer seemed to be taking himself too seriously or something. All I know is coming off the rockin' opener, We Are Invisible, & the playful 2nd act, Black Fiction - Barbara Steele just wasn't feeling as fun. So Jem took off & Sam & I enjoyed one last drink at the bar. A very fun night.

Tuesday night, after a long day of trying to revive my dead Powerbook and realizing it was just going to have to go to the Apple Doctor, I met Kristin, Michael and their new friend Marissa @ the Roxie Theatre for an SFIndieFest documentary called
Danielson: a FAMILY Movie. It was SOOOO GOOD!! Very interesting, inspiring and surprisingly had a lot about Sufjan Stevens, too, who I love! Sooo good. I was bummed Ali missed it (she wasn't feelin so hot).
Afterwards we all scurried over to Tokyo Go Go, drank hot sake (to warm up, it was freezing out that night!) & ate yummy sushi.
Then on Thursday, Kristin & Michael came over for a visit, and to help set me up on the G4 they're graciously lending me temporarily (while my Powerbook's in the shop). Thanks you two!!
View the photo album:::
Wednesday night I went to BAM, and then bailed on going to a show w/ Ali because I really just needed to come home & chill. I had a tough beginning of my week dealing with all that computer crap! I needed to just come home & curl up in a ball. Instead I put away clothes & read a magazine in bed... and it was just what the doctor ordered.
Thursday night I finally had the G4 set up & my backup restored onto it, so I was back in business & was able to catch up on a ton of work.
Which leads us up to now! huzzah! Yesterday my little sister arrived! She's visiting for the weekend, and I'm so excited she's here. It's been a year since we've seen eachother!! Probably the longest we've ever been apart in 14 years. I love my little sister so much!! I'll upload those photos soon and post all about it. Man, this catching up takes forever! :p
Dan Schmidt has been an internet friend for a number of months now. When he first emailed me (last August maybe?), he was inquiring about the Spoon rarities collection I have. Instantly scoring points in my book for having great taste in music, his points only increased when I saw that he also was a
Designer and incredible Painter to boot! Including having recently painted the cover of the
Heartless Bastards CD, which at the time was one of my favorite new bands. Awesome.
So over the last couple months he & I have IM'd, emailed, swapped music, discussed the Design world and shared our various projects we're working on, etc. He's even one of the few people I've iSighted with besides my Mom & Sister. There's not many people who have iSight or web cams it seems, so it was cool to say hello that way, too.
Last month he'd mentioned coming out here some time in February & then a few weeks back he IM's me & says he's flying in! I look at the calendar & realize we have tickets to Jeff Tweedy that night - and it just happens to be that Dan is the biggest Jeff Tweedy/Wilco fan ever, so he was pretty stoked when I was able to score him a ticket to the sold out show for the first night of his quick trip to SF! awww yaaaa!
So last Thursday night (after my "other Willow" encounter) Ali, him & I had a yummy dinner @ the Curbside Cafe, and then hit the (awesome) show @ the Fillmore. The Tweedy show was soooo good and I'm really stoked I was there for Dan's virgin experience of the legendary Fillmore Theatre!

Me, Ali & Dan before the show
We were all in such good spirits we couldn't resist having one last drink @ the Hemlock afterwards. Such a fun night!!
Friday I worked all day (uh, work that is sadly gone now, but we'll disregard that!), and so since Dan had to leave early Sunday morning we met up for a quick breakfast on Saturday morning before his Uncle came to visit him for the remainder of the day.

We had a yummy breakfast at one of my favorite breakfast spots, Just For You Cafe, and then realized we had a little more time before his Uncle arrived, so we headed over to my place to hang out. It was a GORGEOUS day - boy how I wish it was that warm this weekend! It's rainy & super cold! - so we luxuriously sat out on my deck, literally breaking a sweat in the 65+ degrees, blue sky sunshine. SO nice!
After realizing his Uncle was going to be later than he thought, I was like "Well, let's do something!" It was his last day here, and although I needed to work (but considering Monday's PBHD failure, it's good that I didn't!), I couldn't just leave him alone in the Mission. We had to go on an adventure! So we did: First going up to Twin Peaks, a lookout point that in my 9.5 years living here I've only been to ONCE - about 9 years ago! ha! It was a gorgeous clear day & I got a lot of cool shots of the city.

Then, since Dan's from Cincinnati, Ohio, it was clear we needed to make a trip to the beach! I actually hardly go to the beach myself, so it was a great reason to go out & watch the waves. And on such a beautiful day, too!
Really cool meeting you in person, Dan! I felt really comfortable with you instantly, like we're old friends, and was so glad we were able to have some unexpected adventures on Saturday. Yay for Internet Friends!

Hey check it out - I designed a t-shirt that says '
i <3 my internet friends':

I <3 my internet friends! If you have internet friends too, click the photo to check out
the WilloToons store & buy a t-shirt!
So get this: Last week I finally met
the other Willow O'Brien!

Willo & Willow: Reunited at last.
We met for coffee near my house & just had the best time talking and comparing lives. Oddly enough she is an O'Brien from her step-dad adopting her, too! And currently all her immediate family lives in Colorado. WILD.
The coolest part IMO though is that we're both successful, creative business women! Willow is a clothing designer with a line called
KitKitDodge, and she owns a store here in Hayes Valley called
Ver Unica. She's really fun, outgoing & loves animals. Sound familiar? :) It was one of those meetings where I felt like we only scratched the surface of what we have to talk about. It couldn't have gone better, really, and we're both looking forward to meeting up again. She moved to Portland recently (after 12 years here!), but still comes down about once a month to meet with her business partner and tend to the store.
We ended up having this wild adventure in our first two hours of meeting, that involved chasing an adorable (but poorly trained) stray dog, and me pulling out my Spanish 101 to get him home to his owners. A great story to tell over dinner that night!
There's one more photo of us in
this album. Along with a few from my friend Sabra's Birthday BBQ last Sunday.
This week's been crazy. Monday afternoon my Powerbook's HD crashed. Sadness! Luckily I had a full backup from the previous Wednesday, but I'd done about 4 or 5 hours on an animation on Friday night that is totally gone now. However, things could be worse, right? This is the 2nd time I've been able to completely restore my computer using my Retrospect backups. I frickin love that program. However having a PC as my backup computer is completely worthless if my backups are in Retrospect, so I am going to get myself a mac mini or something to use for when this crap happens again. And just use Virtual PC for the only thing I ever use my PC for anyway: Cross browser checking.
So the whole HD Crash of '06 sucked away roughly 2-3 solid work days this week. ug. BUT fortunately I have super nice friends like Kristin & Michael who happened to have an extra G4 laying around they could lend me. YAY!! And, again due to Retrospect's kick ass backup system, I was able to completely load on my computer to a drive of their G4 and I'm back in business. I heart mac's for this reason. Everything's just as it was on my powerbook... icons, bookmarks, preferences, everything. SO FRICKIN SWEET. The only thing really missing is the dual screen action I set up w/ my flat screen & the powerbook next to it, the higher MHz (this one is only 533 compared to my PB's 1.25GHz) and the FireWire 800 ports. Good things to keep in mind as I buy a backup mac. The Mac Mini's don't have FW800 either, but apparently the newest ones are shipping w/ the Intel Chip.
Anyone wanna buy my supped up PC? It's actually pretty sweet! I just have no use for the thing anymore. I'll write up the specs here eventually, but let me know if you're interested (interest would really help me get down to business with listing out the specs on it :p)
OK, so the next few posts are going to be my catching up from the last 10 days. :)

I happened across
this post lastnight & it is some really fascinating food for thought!
I have totally been looking forward to the day I get a diamond ring (thanks to my Mom mostly, who loves diamonds), so reading this was a serious wake up call. I love wake up calls that shed the light on what's really going on. Very interesting reading there for sure. Thanks

Has anyone seen any of
these movies (besides Brokeback & Squid and the Whale) that absolutely can't be missed? I kinda wanna go see a movie this weekend, but am having a hard time deciding on one. Well, except Syriana, so far that one's winning. I am just surprised nothing else is enticing me.

Ted & I got a tour of Pixar on Monday! It was so fun!
Update: OK, I got to posting these photos faster than I thought. It actually happened out of something called procrastination, but shhh, don't tell anyone. :)

Photos also posted from the
Jenny Lewis & the Watson Twins show last Friday night!
I heart Jenny Lewis!!! I scored tix at the last minute (from a very cute boy, I might add) and was thrilled every single second to be sitting there listening to her beauuuutiful voice! Jonathan Rice, the opener and who also played guitar with her & the Watson Twins, was really good, too! And can't forget props to the Twins & Farmer Dave.
These photos suck cuz it was super low, red lighting - but it was beautiful in person. Candles everywhere... no photos could replace the memories in my mind & heart from this awesome show!

Saturday night's show was great, too! My brother Max was in town for the SF Gift Fair (for his company,
Om Gallery) with his business partner, Christopher. So we all went out to dinner w/ Mario, Holly, Ali & Ali's friend Nick who was in town for the SF Indie Fest. The seven us dined at the new
Chez Maman on Cortland & it was pretty good!
I was stoked my brother came out to the show w/ me, too. And what a line-up! The openers Lemon Sun were great - Ted had one of their songs on a compilation that I liked, but live they were really fantastic! Then my favorite boys Hijack the Disco rocked us with their kick-ass-ness!

Love these boys!
(skipping over Tartufi all together cuz I wasn't paying attention) And then the headliners are another fav of ours, Scissors for Lefty! Who were awesome as always, and
charmed a certain bad apple to the core! :) YAY!

What ranks as probably one of the geekiest things I've ever done, is my online documentation of my
CD Organization System. I just ordered new sleeves, so after 2 years I finally updated that page.
Just thought I'd let you know in case some of you never knew just how much of a dork I really am - I mean, in case you're looking for a new organization system for yourself.
Happy Friday!

Happy 3rd Birthday, Bagel Radio!
Earlier this week I helped Ted put together the file to print the very first Bagel Radio banner! I didn't design the logo or anything, but I prepared (at one point: *wrestled*, but that's another story) the file & sent it off to
the printer, so I was all proud to see it came out so great!! :)

Birdmonster sounded EXCELLENT! I love these boys!!!
Shows are always so fun when I know a ton of people there, and lastnight was one of them! I won't link (because it feels like it'd take forever, there's so many!), so just for fun: Misty & Ted (of course), Jem, Ali, Hez, Jojo, Derek, Trevor, Dave, Janet, Mario, Eric, John, Lisa, Jake, Tack, Paulie, Leia, Kristin, Michael, Buzz, Cameron, Courtney, Eris, Ryan, Mark, Ted, Phil, Blair and of course all the boys in EXBF's & Birdmonster. And I'm sure I've forgotten someone. Where were you? :)
I wish I could have rounded everyone up for a big group photo! :p
View all the photos from this nightMisty wrote up
a kick ass post about the night as well & links to her & Ted's photos, too. yay!
::::
Also, I just posted a few photos from Monday night when I took Lyne to the airport! SF International, no less! Lyne is traveling through Thailand for 2 whole months! wooohooo! Here she is with her big ol' pack all ready to go!

Bon Voyage, miss Lyney-loo! Can't wait to hear about all your adventures!
A few more pics of Lyne's send off are in the
January album.

Bagel Radio &
DJ Ted are two of my most favorite things. Incidentally, performing at his
3rd Anniversary Celebration CAHMS show tonite are a couple of my favorite local bands!!
And since Craig & Ali said it so well on
Donewaiting's SF Foghorn:
"Wednesday night is a chance to pay homage. Very few people have done as much as Ted to promote the current indie music scene (of the Bay Area and beyond). - Craig Ness
"DJ Ted, the genius mind, heart, & soul behind BAGeL Radio, will be spinning tunes between sets and three fantastic Bay Area bands ( Birdmonster, Ex-Boyfriends, Serene Lakes) will be showing off their rawktacular goodness, for FREE no less!!! Doors are at 9:00 pm, fun party good times start at 9:01 pm. And it's FREE people. You have no excuse - BE THERE!" - Ali Watkins (aka
Spangley and my #1 show ho sistaaaaa)
