scary charge...
Wow, Stub Hub called me this morning & apparently someone used my card to charge some Oakland/49ers tix - to the tune of $556!!!Thankfully Stub Hub has a fraud dept & this charge came up as a red flag because of a wrong billing address or something. So after double checking with me that it was in fact a fraudulent charge, they called my bank & then my bank called me & we had to cancel my debit card. Doesn't that suck!?
It's scary cuz I didn't lose it - somehow someone got my card #. Maybe from some online purchase or something, but I consider myself pretty web savvy, so it's not like I filled out any "update your personal information" type of things (which was one of her questions for me). She said they had an odd email address, and I think she said billing address, too... but they had my name..... scary!
Anyway, I'm just glad it was caught now. Man, identity and credit card theft/fraud... definitely a scary thing. Keep an eye on your accounts, people!
