wfc (instead of wfh)
I always work from home (wfh), so today I thought I'd change it up & I came down here to work at Ritual. I usually dislike the cafe experience for one reason or another, and therefore rarely do it. I mean, honestly, I've got a seriously kick ass set up at home: Not only can I make myself a yummy, healthy breakfast, lunch & dinner, but I get to hang w/ my kitty all day, go pee whenever I want*, and my huge monitor/wireless mouse/keyboard setup is way more comfortable than working w/ my Powerbook & using its keyboard all day (I do bring a mouse w/ me though). And there's NO cafe chair that can hold a candle to my amazing work-for-14-hours-straight-and-never-get-sore Aeron. BUT, all that said, I've actually really enjoyed working here today. My only gripe? I sure wish they had fresh salads! The only thing to eat here is BREAD and SUGAR. ug.*While IM'ing w/ my friend Dennis he said something about always being nervous when you have to pee, cuz it's hard to just leave all your stuff set up while you go real quick. I told him I could relate, as just a bit ago I finally bit the bullet & asked two (separate tables) people to watch my stuff for me. They seemed nice & trustworthy, and I figured asking two of them is good, so they can watch eachother, toO! But on a day like today, where my iPod was already stolen this morning, you can bet I was more than a little nervous.
Dennis had a hilarious idea though... he said on IM "ooo good idea... there should be a service, like you load up a webpage, and if it notices that it disconnects, it txt's you. igottagopeesowatchmylaptop.com." HA! Then he wrote, "and it also alerts anyone else in that cafe that's logged into the service, WILLO'S LAPTOP IS BEING STOLEN! Please HELP! (she's peeing.)" hahhaa! Oh yoooo soooo funny, Dennis! :p Dennis is one of my favorite internet friends. He's my friend in real life, too, but we're really good IM buddies. :)
Umm, can I just say.. there are a LOT of cute boys here today. hech hemm. Ok, back to work.
