nothing like waking up to an earthquake!

Around 5:30 this morning I got that familiar, but nerve-wracking, sensation of my entire bed shaking. Waking up from a dead sleep for a second it really feels like someone's trying to shake you awake - or that someone, or some thing, just jumped on your bed. Then you start to hear the things on your shelves clattering & your mind instantly knows: Earthquake!

I shot straight up in bed, because honestly, if shit does go flying, I want to see it! haha. After it rolled through, I remained sitting up in bed, watching my kitty and listening closely just in case it was only a teaser for another one. Thankfully, it wasn't. phew! I got up, went to the bathroom, and then crawled back in bed. zzzzzz.

I am on a list that emails me when quakes happen near here & so, of course, I woke up to one waiting for me this morning. Here are the basic details of this morning's earthquake:
