my pulse keeps a mean beat

OMG the new New Pornographers is *so* good!!!!!! I can't stop listening to it. I'm STOKED on their upcoming show! You going?! (I'll be at Tuesday's show!)

Other newly released albums I can't wait to get: Death Cab for Cutie, Rogue Wave, The Lovemakers, Super Furry Animals, Broken Social Scene and John Vanderslice.

Other CD's I just got recently and/or have had for awhile but have recently been stoking me and getting major play around here (hey at least someone is! haha):

• Cloud Cult - Advice from the Happy Hippopotomus (2005) Ted turned me onto them & I turned Steve onto em, and look what happened! :) Anyone who hears them becomes a deeply devoted fan of this incredible band, so what are you waiting for?
• Sufjan Stevens, Illinois (2005) man, I gotta say, this boy's hottness surprises me everytime I see a photo of him. cutie! Oh, and the album. Amazing. It's HEALING, it's so damn good.
• Hockey Night, Keep Guessin' (2005)
• Lansing-Dreiden, The Incomplete Triangle (2004) Wonder what Pitchfork would have said about them if they were from Canada instead. *rolls eyes*
• Oneida, The Wedding (2005)
• Group Sounds, s/t EP (2005) Thanks to my NYC friend Eric. I love "Things Fall Apart"!)
• Scissors for Lefty, Bruno (2005) SfL is an up & coming local band that Ali & I fell in love with at the Mary Timony show. As Ali said, we're offically show-stalking them now. haha!
• Birdmonster - EP (2005) If you live in SF, you must go check them out! HOTT! (ditto here on the show-stalking :)
• The Ponys - Celebration Castle (2005)

I devour music at such a rapid rate, that most of these I got within the last 2-3 weeks. Some others that have been played quite regularly here lately & are definitely worth mentioning: Brendan Benson, Bob Mould (new one), Say Hi to Your Mom, Hail Social, Sam Bisbee, Thunderbirds are Now!, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah!, The Blow, Smoosh (finally got the full album & love it!), some live Arcade Fire, the new Sleater-Kinney, Superchunk and Wolf Parade (the few tracks that I have, I really like & I want more!).

For the record, I absolutely LOVE Vince Vaughn. And because undoubtedly he reads my blog, "Vince, will you marry me? (uhh, or just stop by for a quickie?)" hahaa.
