I just posted some pre-lasik/Thanksgiving Day photos and pics from last Sunday's Loquat/Evan Dando show at Bottom of the Hill.I finally got to see Loquat perform and they were GREAT!!! Kylee has an AMAZING voice... and it's true what they say - her voice is a beautiful mix between Bjork, The Cranberries & The Sundays - and she sings beautiful songs!!
Seeing Evan Dando play stoked the 17 year old inside me SOOO big time! In '93 I used to play The Lemonheads' "It's a Shame About Ray" over and over and over and over. Luckily my show ho buddy Jem was as hard core of a fan as I was (actually she trumps me in the psycho fan arena on this one :) so I was happy that she came along!!
Evan is still sooo hot (besides hippy shaggy hair and the smoking - ick), and his singing is beautiful. I LOVED seeing him live, and as you can see we were so close I could have touched him! *17yr old in me squeels with delight* My favorite song was "My Drug Buddy" and I was sooo stoked when he played it. I even remembered most all the words to the songs on that CD after all these years! Most surprising because I haven't listened to it in about 10 years since it was stolen when I was 19. But good ol Jem's gonna burn me a copy of hers so it can be back in my collection. phew!
