oh, oh, oh... i'm on fire.
I'll start simple. First of all, I'm LOVING The Concretes. And my friend Ted gave me The Arcade Fire & I'm loving it, too!!I could list out about 10 bands I'm totally digging, but I'll do that another day.

What's on my mind:
I wanna CREATE!!!!! I want this to do list to widdle down somehow magically so that I have time. But that's a CRAP excuse because really I need to powerhouse through it all & then MAKE. TIME. for MORE extra curricular activities. You know, cuz running my own business, taking drumming lessons, taking care of my life (laundry, dishes, etc), going to live shows, having a boyfriend and a social life isn't enough! :) Well, it is... but I will tell you what. My creative side is really having a FIT. Just getting it off my chest thats all.
I need to redesign my site something FIERCE. Fierce like "RAAAAAAAARRRRR!!!!!!" Big roar that blows your hair back. My portfolio is sooooooooooooooooooooo outdated it's just pitiful. I can't wait, but alas, it's at the bottom of the to do list. Everything in due time I suppose.

So ch-check it - This weekend we're heading to Colorado!!! I'm soo excited. Rick & I fly out Friday for my friend's wedding in Denver. Michelle & Aaron are getting married and I couldn't be happier for them. Michelle is a close friend of mine from High School, and the day we *officially* met was in Mrs. Conlon's English class. We got assigned on a in-class paper together, but in the first 20 minutes she had me laughing so hard I was crying! Needless to say Mrs. Conlon wasn't very happy, and we've been friends ever since. :) She's hilarious and awesome and this weekend I get to watch her get married to a guy that's madly in love with all that she is. I'm sooo excited!!!!!
Total bonus about any time I get to go back to Denver is I also get to see my best friend Drew and his wife JaNae and their cutie little girl Sydney.
Drew has been my best friend for as long as I can remember and officially holds the title for "Longest Standing Male Figure In My Life". We've had many ups & downs over the years (which is easy when you've known someone for the majority of your life (~27 years!), but I love him DEARLY!! He's a friend that has known me through thick and thin and no matter how much time has gone by, we pick up like we just saw eachother yesterday.
Drew & I met in pre-school when he was proudly sporting a
He's one of the most important people in my life and I am SOO excited to see him and introduce Rick to him and vis versa! Very exciting.
Should be a pretty wild weekend though... between Friday night on the town w/ Drew and JaNae - and then the wedding on Saturday, we're puttin on our party hats and dancing shoes. I can't wait!
THEN! No sooner do we get back on Sunday afternoon, but Sunday night we have Eagles of Death Metal at Cafe Du Nord! I'm sooo psyched on this show! AND I get to meet THE Kat Crippler of Slutschool fame!!!!! And those of you who don't know Slutschool... I'm sorry to say it has died. BUT the Crippler lives on and she's flying all the way here from Canada and will be here in the flesh to drink us under the table! I can't wait! (except nobody can drink us under the table, so we're in for a kick ass night :) woohooo!!!

I think I never told you about The Libertines show - so I'll paste in what I said somewhere else:
How do you replace a lead singer!? (For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, read this)
It sucks when you know 2 albums with one voice and then you see em live w/ another - definitely wasn't the same - BUT it didn't suck. It was awesome to hear all my favorite songs live!!
It was a great show & a great group of friends came along including Jem, Lyne, Kristin & Dave and Ted & Misty! A great crew, but my favorite show buddy and fellow Libertines lover sweetie was missed (but he was in tahoe gambling and partyin it up, so he was havin fun :)
OH & the Libertines had a fantastic drummer!!!
Cool to see Radio 4, too - although I agreed w/ Ted that it was an odd pairing. They'd be better suited to play w/ the Rapture - or something. I'm not sure the crowd could appreciate all the bongo/precussion going on - but I did! I just wished the audience was more into em than they seemed - but Radio 4 wasn't phased - they had great energy. If I saw them again, I'd rather it be a smaller venue w/ a more raucous crowd.

Ok, It's late & I must sleep!! 'night all...
